Softball Game Preview: Clarksville Indians vs. Janesville Wildcats

Clarksville is a perfect 10-0 against Janesville since July of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clarksville has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Janesville will arrive with three straight victories.

Clarksville came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Martensdale-St. Mary's by a score of 10-8 on Saturday.

Riceville typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Janesville proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Riceville, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Janesville has posted against Riceville since June 14, 2019.

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Janesville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Everything went Clarksville's way against Janesville when the teams last played back in May, as Clarksville made off with a 19-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
