Basketball Recap: Littlerock Takes a Loss

Littlerock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Antelope Valley Antelopes, falling 83-7. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1086th, while the Antelopes are ranked 188th).

Antelope Valley had a senior duo take command as Niya Price posted 24 points and Ariana Soil scored 19 points. The matchup was Soil's 29th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Armani Avery, who had 11 points.

Littlerock's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Antelope Valley, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Littlerock has already played their next game (against Highland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Antelope Valley will venture away from home to square off against Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
