Softball Recap: Aurora Triumphs

Aurora's tournament run continued when they took on Centura on Saturday. The Huskies came out on top against the Centurions by a score of 6-2.

Josie Fink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Vivi Fahrnbruch was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Violet Carstensen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Aurora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Aurora back to even at 8-8. As for Centura, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Aurora has already played their next contest, an 8-6 loss against Waverly on the 20th. As for Centura, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against York on the 20th.
