            Softball Recap: Cass Wildcats vs. Arlington Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Cass came into their game  on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against  the Arlington Eagles, falling  15-3. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
  Emma Rainey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season.
Cass' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Arlington, their win  ended  a  nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 5-5.
 Coming up, Cass will be playing at home against Douglas County West  at 8:45  a.m.  on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcon have averaged an impressive 6.2  runs per game this season. As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Gretna East  on Monday. The Griffins' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
