Recap: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Rocklin Thunder

The Woodcreek Timberwolves and the Rocklin Thunder squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Woodcreek Timberwolves had to settle for second. They fell to the Thunder 68-64. The match was a 31-31 toss-up at halftime, but Woodcreek couldn't quite close it out.

Woodcreek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Nair, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Emma Fisilau, who scored 16 points.

Rocklin found their leader in underclassman Bianca Slone, who scored 26 points along with two steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Slone has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameryn King, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Woodcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Rocklin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-13.

Woodcreek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocklin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-37 defeat vs. Whitney on the 16th.
