Thornton Fractional South is a perfect 10-0 against Hillcrest since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Red Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Hillcrest took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Thornton Fractional South, who comes in off a win.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Thornton Fractional South and Blue Island Eisenhower have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Red Wolves walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals.

Thornton Fractional South never let Blue Island Eisenhower on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came up short against Thornton Fractional North on Wednesday and fell 2-0. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Meteors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Thornton Fractional South, their victory bumped their record up to 16-14.

Thornton Fractional South beat Hillcrest 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
