            Softball Recap: Northfield Nighthawks vs. Poudre Impalas        
        
		
        
        
            Northfield picked up another tournament win  on Saturday. They blew past the Poudre Impalas 10-1.
 Brielle Montoya made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Montoya was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run. She also  brought in an  RBI, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Northfield got a big performance out of  Audrina Srichabok, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.  Claire King was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Northfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poudre only posted  an  OBP of  .316.
Northfield now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Poudre,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Looking ahead, Northfield will challenge Timnath at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Poudre, they will take on Thompson Valley at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
