Baseball Recap: Byers Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Byers can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Byers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Price, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Price has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Byers' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Byers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will square off against Olathe at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
