Baseball Recap: Flint River Academy Triumphs

After only one run in their last game, Flint River Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Heritage Preparatory on Wednesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Rams. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Rams on Wednesday, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

Jack Ballard was a standout: he got on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Flint River Academy is 6-3 when Ballard posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mason Jones, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Flint River Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Flint River Academy's record is now 9-7. As for Heritage Preparatory, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-6.

Flint River Academy has already played their next contest (against John Hancock Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Heritage Preparatory, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against Fullington Academy on the 8th.
