Basketball Recap: Archbishop Wood Wins Going Away Against Mt. Zion Prep Academy

Archbishop Wood's tournament run continued when they took on Mt. Zion Prep Academy on Sunday. The Archbishop Wood Vikings strolled past the Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 54-35.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cincear Parker, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiara Thompson, who had eight points.

The win got Archbishop Wood back to even at 2-2. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Archbishop Wood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-43 defeat against Purcell Marian on the 18th. Mt. Zion Prep Academy has also already played their next game, a 59-32 loss against Grandview on the 18th.
