Basketball Game Preview: San Leandro Pirates vs. Bishop O'Dowd Dragons

San Leandro is 1-9 against Bishop O'Dowd since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The San Leandro Pirates will face off against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 5:30 p.m.

Last Friday, San Leandro didn't have quite enough to beat Castro Valley and fell 43-40. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, everything went Bishop O'Dowd's way against Alameda on Friday as Bishop O'Dowd made off with a 78-52 win. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Bishop O'Dowd is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for San Leandro, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

San Leandro was taken down by Bishop O'Dowd 85-8 when the teams last played back in January. Can San Leandro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
