Lambert posted their closest win since September 10, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Milton Eagles 6-5. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Reagan Young looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avery Cole, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Lambert is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Lambert will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Milton, they will head out to square off against Pope at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
