Football Recap: Washington County Starts Season with Win Against Blue Valley

Washington County had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Blue Valley Rams with a sharp 52-28 win on Friday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 42-14 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington County is set to challenge their familiar foe Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Blue Valley will take on rival Linn on Friday. This will be the Rams' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
