Baseball Recap: Griffin Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Griffin's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Central Lions on Thursday. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Tyson Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Griffin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taevion Gates, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Griffin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

While Griffin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
