Softball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Crusaders vs. Escambia Gators
Pensacola Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-4 to the Escambia Gators. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Morgan Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Lela Laurence was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
