Preview: Willits Wolverines vs. Fort Bragg Timberwolves
Willits is 2-8 against Fort Bragg since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Willits Wolverines will be staying on the road to face off against the Fort Bragg Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. Fort Bragg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Willits, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, Willits didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lower Lake, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win.
It was another big night for Hazel Cooke, who scored 25 points along with five blocks. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecily Potter, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Fort Bragg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-36 walloping at the hands of Middletown.
Willits' victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Fort Bragg, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Willits took a serious blow against Fort Bragg in their previous matchup back in January, falling 54-20. Can Willits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
