Basketball Recap: Diller-Odell Takes a Loss

Diller-Odell was the 55-40 winner over Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Griffin lost 45-21 to the Titans on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Griffin have suffered since January 16th.

Despite the loss, Diller-Odell still got an impressive performance from Hailee Miller, who posted nine points.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elie Bstandig out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Bstandig has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lillian Bowen, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Diller-Odell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Diller-Odell is taking a road trip to square off against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-32 defeat against Weeping Water on the 6th.
