Valley Christian Academy extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Katelyn Mikkelson. The Valley Christian Academy Lions claimed a resounding 80-10 victory over the Cuyama Valley Bears thanks in part to Mikkelson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Samantha Walker, who posted 13 points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Valley Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Cuyama Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
