Softball Recap: Park Place Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Park Place Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Porter's Chapel Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell 10-7 to the Prentiss Christian Saints on Thursday.

Addy Crocker was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crocker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lena Cole made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nori Bumpus, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Park Place Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Park Place Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-4 victory against Porter's Chapel Academy on the 5th. Prentiss Christian has also already played their next game (against Laurel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
