Softball Recap: Ponderosa Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ponderosa proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 17) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Heritage Eagles 8-6. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Ponderosa let Emily Rivera and Braelyn Sisk run wild. Rivera went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI, while Sisk went 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Rivera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Dietz, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ponderosa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in ten consecutive games.

Ponderosa's record is now 11-12. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Ponderosa nor Heritage have any future games scheduled.
