Softball Recap: Wayne County Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

After only one run in their last matchup, Wayne County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Perry on Monday. The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wayne County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Perry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Coming up, Wayne County will take on South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
