Recap: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Antelope Valley Antelopes
On Tuesday, Vasquez was beaten by Antelope Valley 75-22. Vasquez has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antelope Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Niya Price, who scored 27 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Price has scored at least 25% of Antelope Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leandriah Zachry, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 steals.
Vasquez's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Antelope Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Vasquez will head out on the road to face off against Rosamond at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Antelope Valley, they will be playing at home against Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
