Volleyball Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Mission Oak on Tuesday, Hanford came back down to earth. The Bullpups lost 3-0 to the Lemoore Tigers on Thursday. The Bullpups haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Hanford was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.

Claire Welch paced Hanford's offense, picking up eight kills. Welch got some help from Daniela Rodriguez and her nine assists. Finally, Shelby Haire kept Hanford's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Hanford's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Lemoore, they pushed their record up to 29-4 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hanford will face off against Kerman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Lions have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lemoore, they will challenge Sanger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
