The Dominion Christian Knights will square off against the Tallulah Falls Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dominion Christian will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.
While Dominion Christian's win against The King's Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Dominion Christian skirted past The King's Academy 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Dominion Christian has posted against The King's Academy since April 18, 2022.
Canaan Bowen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Broughton Kelly, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tallulah Falls, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand West-Oak a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Indians have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Chase Pollock made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Diego Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Ashton Roache was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Dominion Christian's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Tallulah Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
