Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Prospect Panthers
The Lincoln Lions lost against the Prospect Panthers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lincoln took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prospect. That's two games in a row now that Lincoln has lost by exactly 12 points.
It was another big night for Sadie Slaughter, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds for Prospect. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Barstow, who scored seven points.
Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Prospect, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will play host again and welcome Santa Teresa, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prospect, they will be playing at home against Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while Prospect is ranked 288th).
