Baseball Recap: West Orange's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

West Orange dropped down to 16-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Millburn Millers by a score of 7-5. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Millers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Shep Stevenson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As for Millburn, they pushed their record up to 11-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch.

On Millburn's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Toubes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. Toubes is becoming a predictor of the Millers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

West Orange has already played their next game (against Passaic Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Millburn, they will welcome Watchung Hills Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
