Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Vernon). They never let the South Cobb Eagles get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the match before.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for South Cobb, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mount Vernon will venture away from home to face off against Mount Pisgah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Cobb, they will welcome Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
