Soccer Recap: Center Point-Urbana Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Tama County on Monday, Center Point-Urbana came back down to earth. The Stormin' Pointers fell just short of the Belle Plaine Plainsmen by a score of 1-0 on Friday. If Center Point-Urbana were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Belle Plaine when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Center Point-Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Belle Plaine, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1.

Center Point-Urbana wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Williamsburg on the 18th. As for Belle Plaine, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Mt. Vernon on the 22nd.
