Recap: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. Valley Vikings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marion Center, the Ligonier Valley Rams were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-14 win at home. With Ligonier Valley ahead 40-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Ligonier Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lyla Barr led the charge by dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marlee Miller, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
The victory got Ligonier Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Ligonier Valley will head out on the road to face off against Greater Johnstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Derry at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
