Soccer Recap: Rabun County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Franklin County

Rabun County had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Franklin County Lions who were credited with the win. The Franklin County Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Rabun County Wildcats' three. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The victory got Franklin County back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rabun County will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Tallulah Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin County, they will host East Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
