Recap: Hemet Bulldogs vs. Vista del Lago Ravens
Make it seven blowout wins for the Hemet Bulldogs this season. They blew past Vista del Lago 56-8 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Hemet as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Hemet had a senior duo take command as Glory Valencia scored 16 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds and Shaniya Dodson scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dodson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ruby Lindsey, who scored five points along with three steals.
Hemet's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 12-9. As for Vista del Lago, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Orange Vista the next time they take the court. Vista del Lago will host Orange Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Hemet will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
