Softball Game Preview: Schuyler County Rams vs. North Shelby Raiders

The Schuyler County Rams will take on the North Shelby Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Schuyler County has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while North Shelby will arrive with six straight victories.

Schuyler County saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 9-4 to Albany.

Halle Roberts and Maddox Berry did some serious damage despite the final result: Roberts went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run, while Berry went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Berry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Shelby). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Scotland County a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Raiders not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 19-6).

North Shelby's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Schuyler County, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
