Soccer Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Washington County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Academy for Classical Education are ranked 159th).

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Academy for Classical Education, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Washington County will face off against Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will take on East Laurens at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
