Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Smith-Cotton, falling 18-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked Warrensburg's highest-scoring game to date.

Warrensburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Smith-Cotton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Warrensburg will face off against Harrisonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smith-Cotton, they will welcome Fort Osage at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
