Basketball Recap: Sterling Triumphs

If Dorchester wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sterling, they should've done a better job of containing Brody Horstman. The Jets simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Longhorns 58-25 for which the team can thank Horstman, who posted 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Sterling's points.

Dorchester's loss came despite strong showings from Thor Nerud and Landon Shaw. Nerud dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards, while Shaw put up two points and seven rebounds.

Sterling's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Dorchester, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Sterling wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-33 loss against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on the 9th. As for Dorchester, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-38 defeat against Palmer on the 10th.
