Whitney had a senior duo take command as Kendall Dykstra went 7 for 13 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds and Tylie Kitchen went 6 of 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dykstra has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Benavidez, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and six steals.

Whitney smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 20 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, McClatchy took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-30 victory over Davis Sr. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
