Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bethlehem Christian Academy

Bethlehem Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the North Murray Mountaineers. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

Audry Torres made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rockie Sapp, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Belle Germaine was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for North Murray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Bethlehem Christian Academy will take on Ridgeland in a tournament on Saturday. As for North Murray, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gordon Lee at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
