Volleyball Recap: Huron Takes a Loss

Huron managed to slip by Mitchell the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Kernels on Tuesday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Huron was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mitchell work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Mitchell was led to victory by Londyn Hajek and Cassidy Korzan. Hajek had 14 digs, while Korzan had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Korzan has posted since back in September.

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mitchell, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Huron will square off against rival O'Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mitchell is set to take on their familiar foe Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
