Basketball Recap: Round Valley Falls Short of Faith Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Round Valley can now relate to. They lost 73-49 to the Faith Christian Lions on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 659th, while the Lions are ranked 149th).

Lauren Harris continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Faith Christian, almost dropping a triple-double with 35 points, 20 boards, and nine assists. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of Faith Christian's points. Presley Berry was another key player, putting up 24 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Round Valley and nudges their season record down to 17-6. As for Faith Christian, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-2.

Round Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, they have already played their next match, a 78-59 victory against Weed on the 8th.
