Baseball Recap: Analy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Analy can now relate to. They fell just short of the San Marin Mustangs by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Analy got a good showing from Kaleb Jacobs, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Hunter Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt O'Brien, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one double.

Analy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for San Marin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Analy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Marin, they will square off against Saint Mary's at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
