Basketball Recap: Biglerville Beats Upper Dauphin Area for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Biglerville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans with a sharp 48-28 win on Tuesday. The Canners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Biglerville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylie Brewer, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Brewer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kierney Weigle, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Wentzel, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Weibley, who posted two points and seven boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Biglerville, bringing their record for this year to 15-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points over those games. As for Upper Dauphin Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

As of now, neither Biglerville nor Upper Dauphin Area have any future games scheduled.
