Baseball Recap: Riverview Raiders vs. Laurel Spartans
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverview walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Laurel Spartans on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lukas Duncan made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Owen Orbich was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Riverview and bumps their season record up to 14-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Laurel, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.
As of now, neither Riverview nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
