Volleyball Recap: Fenton Comes Up Short

Fenton lost against Mercy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Marlins. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Alejandra Ayotte paced Fenton's offense, picking up four kills. Ayotte got some help from Eva Long and her nine assists.

Mercy was led to victory by Catherine Kuchta and Kate Berghoff. Kuchta had five aces and four digs, while Berghoff had eight digs and two assists. Those five aces gave Kuchta a new career-high.

Fenton's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

Fenton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Howell on the 18th. As for Mercy, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Romeo on the 16th.
