Softball Recap: Glascock County Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Glascock County dropped to 3-2 on Monday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the Greenbrier Wolfpack, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Greenbrier, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

For Greenbrier's part, Emma Miller looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addie Thouvenot, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylyn Kelly, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glascock County will square off against Thomson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenbrier, they will be playing at home against Hart County at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
