After losing to Laguna Creek the last time they met, Pleasant Grove decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pleasant Grove Eagles slipped by the Laguna Creek Cardinals 43-42 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Pleasant Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sierra Giacomini, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave Giacomini a new career-high. Anniyah Banks was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Pleasant Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jestine Tofi, who put up 12 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyson Aguirre-Hernandez, who earned 11 points and four steals.

Pleasant Grove's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Laguna Creek, their record now sits at 16-10.

Pleasant Grove has already played their next contest, a 61-49 defeat against Monterey Trail on the 12th. Laguna Creek has also already played their next game (against Franklin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
