Holtville entered their tilt with Palo Verde Valley on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

Kadence Toten, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Holtville squad sat out for Tuesday's contest. With Toten sidelined, Yadira Puentes got her first action of the season.

Holtville's victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1. As for Palo Verde Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holtville will venture away from home to face off against Julian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Holtville is facing Julian at the right time seeing as Julian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Palo Verde Valley, they will head out to square off against West Shores at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Palo Verde Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.1 goals per game this season.
