Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Firebaugh). They claimed a resounding 66-11 win over the Tranquillity Tigers. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while the Tigers are ranked 1274th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points per game. As for Tranquillity, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
