Baseball Preview: Hampton Hornets vs. Lamar County Trojans
The Hampton Hornets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Lamar County Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hampton is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Jonesboro. The Hornets blew past the Cardinals 21-5 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Lamar County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Washington County a 3-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won three in a row.
