Football Recap: Bennett Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bennett can now relate to. They took a blow against the South River Seahawks on Thursday, falling 69-0. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Seahawks are ranked tenth).

Korey Warren continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South River, rushing for 162 yards and four scores on only seven carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Warren a new career-high. Benjamin Raines was another key player, throwing for 153 yards and three TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes.

Bennett's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for South River, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Bennett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South River, they will challenge St. Charles on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Seahawks 9.9, St. Charles 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
