Lowell gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Greenville Yellow Jackets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 7-4 win on Wednesday.

Malen Mikulski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nolan LaRose was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Kreps, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lowell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenville only managed two.

The victory made it two in a row for Lowell and bumps their season record up to 18-13. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Greenville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-19-1.

Coming up, Lowell will face off against Jenison at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville, they will challenge Zeeland West at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
